Ken Seifert
A young professional working in Washington, DC. Ken finished
graduate school in 2005 and
is now working for the Federal Government. A 2007 graduate of the
Presidential Management Fellows program, he is proud to be working for
The Man. He has lived in many
places around the country and abroad (including
Chile in 2001 and
Holland in 2004). He
enjoys
traveling, food, running, politics, meeting
famous
people, advocating for minority rights, writing Letters to the
Editor, and spending time with family (especially
his adorable younger
brother Benjamin) and friends. He has been in a wonderful
relationship since February 2004 (see the Josh Israel section just
centimeters below this paragraph). Oh yeah, and he recently published
his first novel,
The Rising Storm. It's a
gripping tale of two people from different
walks of life--trapped together in a mountain blizzard one night. Ask
him, and he can tell you more about it. Or, better yet, buy a copy
(available at
Amazon.com and
BarnesAndNoble.com)! :)

Ken Seifert and Josh Israel
We met in February 2004 at the
DC
Twenties Group, a social discussion group for gay men in their
twenties. Ken was attending for the first time, while Josh head
facilitator of the group. Drawn to Josh's personality and
baseball cap, Ken emailed Josh that evening. Two days later, they
went on their first date. To this day, Josh is very glad he wore
the baseball cap.
On October 20, 2007, they married in Cambridge, MA.
